Happy new year! Thousands of people around the world have recently made resolutions to improve their lives. One of the most popular New Year’s resolutions is to drink more water. But sometimes, this simple task can get tricky when we get caught up in life’s hectic schedules. Whether you drink your water most often from a bottle, jug or water dispenser, we’ve come up with a handful of clever ways you can sneak more H2O in your day.

1. Add Flavor to Your Water

Does water taste boring? You can overcome that challenge by adding lemon juice to it. Lemon water is great to drink especially in the morning because of its higher PH balance, and it helps detox your body. If you want to change up the flavor, there are also water flavor drops available at most grocery stores. Just make sure the drops don’t have any added sugars. Sneaky!

2. Eat More Fruit

Many of us like fresh fruit, right? Well, it happens to be that many delicious fruits can also be hydrating. Look for the types of fruits with high moisture content, like melons and citrus. Watermelons are especially hydrating, and they also have important electrolytes!

3. Meat Works, Too!

Though it’s not as hydrating as water, eating meat is another way to help hydrate yourself. Meat contains an amazing amount of water – about 60 percent! Hamburger and chicken breast seem to be the best winners. If you eat your meat in a soup or stew, that’s bonus points for more hydration. And it’s very tasty!

4. Keep Water With You

Have a habit of forgetting to drink your water? Carry a water bottle with you so you can sip on it throughout the day. The easier to handle the water bottle, the better. You’d be surprised how a sip here and there can add up! If you’re concerned about the environment, there are lots of refillable water bottles available that are made of glass and BPA free plastic.

5. Have a Bottle-Free Water Dispenser Around

You may have heard of a water cooler, but how about a bottle free one? They’re awesome! It’s like having your own purified bottled water on tap, and you don’t have to fuss with heavy water jugs. Arctic Coolers, for example, have a number of water dispensers that come in different shapes and sizes for personal and office use. It’s a very easy way to get your recommended water amount!
